Day 41 & 42: Ups and Down

Well it seems like a while since i last did my blog but it only been 2 days the last 4 days have been some of the hardest riding of done, and my bobdy after the 5 day break is struggling to keep up. My legs and low back are having minor spasms. so I’ve called it day and decided to treat my self ( i have a remarkable talent for doing that i find) im stay in a 4 star hotel with private beach and sea side view only down side is tomorrow i have ride up a massive hill to get back to the road. The country side and areas that i have been riding across have been lovely and I would probable if was not riding be enjoying my self more but i’ve found my self very much effected by weather im going uphill or downhill. I love going downhill I’ve mangled to reach a top speed of 55 which i could probable beat but the road keep going around corners and as my bike is on a par with a brick i don’t thinks thats going happen sadly. On server of the hill my brake fingers have started to go num so im quite surprised that my brakes or my fingers have not yet failed. It surprising what being in a hotel can do for the level of moral for the last three days i’ve gone to bed thinking about quiting, yet now that the last thing i would want to do.  I find it quite funny how quickly my mood changes and how quickly i forget i.e the hate the hill as im riding up it, i then go down it and it was the best hill ever. Only problem being i spent 2 hours riding up it and 5 mins coming down it. It just does not seems fair. Well im going to finish their im going to go swimming then read a book.

  1. Sounds a lot like life. Enjoying the easy going 'down' bits, but struggling on the hard going 'up' bits.

  3. Hi David,
Tried to add a comment last night but for some reason wasn't happening. You say you are getting boiled when cycling perhaps you need to ride at the cooler parts of the day and not during the hottest part - siesta.

Well the harvest is going well and Jayne has given Matt another tomato plant and grandpa is bringing lettuces over so we are doing really well.

Matt and I are watching Fringe again and I am watching Castle and Chuck again.

It is Ben's birthday next weekend so the gang is coming over to have Ben's tea here. I will get the children put something on the blog for you.

Mosin is also thinking of joining us in meeting up with you.
Anyway take care and lots of sun cream.
