Day 9: its been that long already

im i a slight relective mood for some reason, had a nice ride to prob had some thing to do with there the being diffrent tree on the side of the road........... let me explain so far up till to day the its just been pine trees in nice neat straight lines and it gets quite boring to look at well to day there where non pine tree ones with leafs and for some strange reason this made all the diffrence.

Plus i've had my first cooked meal in 3 days so far due to the absence of fuel/bottle. Most of the time i've been eating bread, suger puffs or oats with water so pity much a well balanced diet oh and nut, died fruit and tin's of tuna so its not all bad its has made me very regular tho. Also if any one going to robs weeding is reading this please could you bring out some tea bags im dying for a cupper of tea so far i've only been able to fine herbal rubbish.

Also i think i've finally manged to pack my bags in a way that im happy with, im not nomally a nervouse person but i've been quite panicky with my bags and have packed them in diffrent ways almost every days which means looking forsome things is like lucky dip but i finally found a system that i like.

i think its taken me a little bit of time to get used to, im spending a day or two in liepaja got some clothes washing to do and sort or the next bit of my journey

oh last but not least so far the not speaking any thing but english not a problem i've had people ring up friend to so they can give me direction in english most campsite/ hostel people speak english and any one under 25 tho they do make me look at little silly as they all seem to to speak at least 3 diffrent lanague while i just tell they sorry only speak woooky

  1. Must admit, I would miss a cup of tea as well after 9 days!
We are praying for you every day, as we do with all the children, for safety and protection.
    Much love and blessings

  2. 9 days!? I think I'd be kidnapping and ransoming people for tea by now. Sounds like you're having a great time, despite the accidents, lack of hot food, horrible splinter moments and sunburn... well, as good a time as you could for for with all that anyway.
I like to think you've already got the beard and wildman hair and people mistake you for a wookie.

  3. On a more philasophical note, it could have been worse...... if all you could get to eat were Spanish cucumbers...... assuming you have been following the news about an E. coli outbreak in Germany and allegations of dodgey Spanish cucumbers.

  4. gather stinging nettles, keep them by a heat source to get read of the sting and then boil them n have nettle tea. then make rope from the fibers and tie some one up to ransom them because you don't like nettle tea.

  5. David,

Talking about supplies, remember you will need Sarah M to collect the wedding present to take over for you. Plus is there anything else clothes wise etc you would like her to take for you. It might be good to ask her if she will do that if you haven't already asked.
As you have read Matt is really into his stinging nettles and has come back enthused. If you don't hear from us you know it hasn't worked.

lots of love and hope the number worked. MUM XXX

  8. DJ. Keep it going sir. Have enjoyed your posts. The start is the hardest bit - but remember, the rest of the way is all downhill.

I had a holiday in Latvia a few years ago. Strange experience. I will catch up with what you've written about it now.

Keep the smile on your face
    Seb
